Brian's Atllantic City - Forum

Review - 2006/03/30 23:33 Now that Bally's is part of Harrah's I thought I would check them out...
First, we parked in "Bally's Parking Place"... OMG, 2 in the afternoon and it was already packed... We drove all the way to the roof and then back down a couple floors before we found a place to park...

The girl at the front desk was very nice and said she had a room in the Dennis hotel section that was available right away... I assume that meant if we wanted to wait, we could have got a room in the main tower... Not sure about that...

The Dennis Hotel is from pre-casino AC so yeah it was an old room but I thought the room was in good shape... I posted a couple pictures I took so you can decide for yourself... Room service didn't take to long... Maybe 20-25 minutes... The best part was the shower... There was water pressure!!! I don't know about anybody else, but that is one of my biggest beefs at most hotels... My wife says the water pressure was to much... Like being sand blasted... I found it exilerating... The only other hotel I have found good water pressure at was Atlantic Palace (Non-Casino).

Dining... We tried to go to Animations Coffee Shop for breakfast but the line was to long and not really moving... We assumed the buffet would be packed so we didn't even try that... Might have been a bad assumption but oh well... We ended up getting breakfast @ Johnny Rocket's where there was no line and fast service...

Casino... We didn't spend much time on the floor on this trip since it was my wifes birthday and she wanted to go to Tropicana for Dinner and Karaoke... The time we did spend however didn't impress us... The vibe just wasn't right and even though the machines recognized ny Total Rewards card, it didn't see my existing account and was addning points to some phantom account... Those point still haven't shown up in my account several weeks later... Maybe next time they will have that worked out...

Next time we'll have to check out the Wild Wild West section...
